If this is your first exam with us, here is what you should bring with you...
If you are taking any medications, prescription or over-the-counter, bring a list of them with you. If you have several, most pharmacies will print out a listing of them for you, with the accurate dosages, at no charge. If you use eyedrops of any sort, please bring a bottle with you. Patients are often surprised how many medications, and nutritional supplements, can affect your eyes. Bring your current glasses with you, and if you have a second pair for a special purpose ( like sunglasses, computer glasses, reading glasses ) please bring them also. If you wear contact lenses, even occasionally, it is best to wear them into the office for your exam. Frankly, it is ideal to schedule your exam in the afternoon so you have had your lenses in for several hours when you see the doctor. And be sure to know what lens care solutions you use for cleaning, disinfecting or rewetting.
